Lent a season to forgive

Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness. Marianne Williamson Lent is here again, a 40 day season where as children of Saint Moses Orimolade we are encouraged to: Wear a red girdle…

Christmas Message to YOU

Christmas!. Its always been my favourite time of the year. Growing up in Nigeria, Christmas meant new clothes, new shoes and gifts of money from uncles and aunts.  You see I grew up from a humble background where clothes were normally handed down from elder siblings, BUT Christmas! its when you are guaranteed to get a…

Living in times of Hardship and Persecution – Soldiers of Christ!

8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. (2Cor4:8-10) Living in times of Hardship and Persecution…

Jesus and Judas, what do you do when your loved one becomes ‘the backstabber and betrayer’?

After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.” John 13:21

Today we remember the death of our Saviour Jesus Christ on the cross, I had the privilege to walk the way of the Cross in Jerusalem ‘The Via Dolorosa‘, the way of suffering, the way of pain, walking the same path that Jesus walked, carrying his cross, on the way to his crucifixion.  Jesus Christ of Nazareth suffered the most excruciating and painful death, history tells us the death by crucifixion is the most painful and slow death of all, you are left to hang until death, taking 6 long hours to die.

We must therefore never take for granted the precious blood of Jesus that was shed on calvary for the cleansing of our sins, for our Salvation was bought with a precious price.
